It’s no secret that the first two Thor films are kind of wack. That said, after catching the first teaser for Thor: Ragnarok, I’m here for it. Like, very here for it.
As the story goes, Thor gets wrecked by Hela (who appears to be portrayed by the immaculate Cate Blanchett), and we also get some shots of Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. At one point, Thor gets transported to a far-off distant land, and is forced to do battle…with the homey Hulk. And he’s happy for it!
In terms of why Thor is getting his ass handed to him by Hela is still a question, and we have no idea regarding how long Hulk’s been living on this planet (which mimics the 2006 Marvel Comics story Planet Hulk). We also need to know what Valkyrie’s going to be doing. And also, Jeff Goldblum af!
The trailer is giving off heavy Guardians of the Galaxy vibes, from the heavy use of Led Zepplin’s “Immigrant Song” to the colorful graphics at the end. We still have about seven months before Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters, but you might need to get excited for this one.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017
